Bacteriophage Intesty.
Intesti bacteriophage is a solution of a mixture of sterile filtrates of phagolysates Shigella flexneri 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 serovars, Shigella sonnei, Salmonella paratyphi A, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella paratyphi B, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella choleratsuis, Salmonella oranienitic enteric, Escherichia coli of different serogroups, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Proteus mirabilis, Staphilococcus plus a preservative - quinosole (0.0001 g / ml).
Intesty bacteriophage solution is a clear yellowish liquid of varying intensity up to a green hue. The biological properties of the drug determine its ability to lysis (dissolve the shell) of the above bacterial strains.
This drug is used in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases: bacterial dysentery , salmonellosis, intestinal dysbiosis, oral dysbiosis, dyspepsia, colitis, enterocolitis, as well as for the prevention of bacterial infections. In this case, bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Salmonella, Dysentery bacteria, Staphylococci or their various combinations should act as infectious agents.
The effectiveness of therapy depends on the presence of precisely those bacterial pathogens that are sensitive to this bacteriophage and the early initiation of bacteriophage use. To identify the sensitivity of bacteria to a bacteriophage, a bacteriological study for sensitivity (phage typing) is carried out .
The rules for taking a bacteriophage require compliance with precautions and sterile conditions when opening the bottle, as well as compliance with the dosage of the drug according to age categories.
The drug should not be used if the solution becomes cloudy or a precipitate is observed upon shaking!
The bacteriophage is combined with any pharmaceuticals, including antibiotics. In addition to probiotics, which does not make sense to consume at the same time. It has no contraindications.
The bacteriophage is administered orally (through the mouth), rectally. It is also used as a swallow rinse. For the treatment of diseases, the bacteriophage is taken four times a day, one hour before meals, starting from the day of the disease and up to 7-10 days.
For children in the first days and months of life, the dose of the drug is first diluted with water (boiled and cooled) to check for the presence or absence of side effects (skin rash, regurgitation). Then the drug is taken undiluted three times a day, half an hour before feeding.
If indomitable vomiting is observed, the drug is administered by a high enema, having previously cleared the intestines. You can combine oral and rectal administration of the bacteriophage preparation. If there is no colitis syndrome, then one oral administration can be replaced with a single high enema with the drug.
Prevention of infectious diseases is carried out if there is a suspicion of possible infection with pathogenic bacteria or for the purpose of epidemiological control.
One dose of the drug is required:
- Up to 6 months: oral - 5 ml, rectally - 10 ml.
- At the age of 6 months to one year: orally - 10-15 ml, rectally - 20 ml.
- At the age from one to those years: orally - 15-20 ml, rectally - 20-30 ml.
- At the age of three to eight years: orally - 20-30 ml, rectally - 30-40 ml.
- From the age of eight and adults: orally - 30-40 ml, rectally - 50-60 ml.
