Bacteriophages >>>> Which Pyobacteriophage to choose
Which Pyobacteriophage to choose.
Several drugs are sold in pharmacies under the name "pyobacteriophage". These are solutions of bacterial phagolysates plus a preservative for internal, local and external use; having a yellowish or greenish tint. Let's figure out what each of them is.
Polyvalent liquid pyobacteriophage or Sextaphage (its synonym is pyopolyphage). The Latin name is Pyobacteriophage polyvalent purified or Sextaphag.
Lyses bacteria:
- Staphylococcus,
- Streptococcus,
- Enterococcus,
- roteus vulgaris and Proteus mirabilis,
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
- enteropathogenic Escherichia coli,
- Klebsiella pneumoniae.
The preservative is 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate monohydrate (0.0001 g / ml).
Polyvalent purified pyobacteriophage (Latin name - Pyobacteriophage polyvalent purum) and complex liquid pyobacteriophage (Latin name - PYOBACTERIOPHAGE COMPLEX LIQIUD).
Lyse bacteria:
- Staphylococcus,
- Streptococcus,
- Enterococcus,
- Proteus vulgaris and Proteus mirabilis,
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pseudomonas aeruginosa),
- Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli,
- Klebsiella pneumonia (affects the lung tissue) and Klebsiella oxytoca (affects the intestines).
The preservative is 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate monohydrate (0.0001 g / ml) and quinosole (0.0001 g / ml), respectively.
As can be seen from the above, all three variants of pyobacteriophages are very similar to each other, with the exception of the fact that complex and polyvalent pyobacteriophages contain, among other things, bacteriophages that lyse Klebsiel oxytok.
The purpose of these types of solutions of bacteriophages is identical, they are used for the treatment of purulent - inflammatory processes and bacterial infections in urology, gynecology, pulmonology, otolaryngology , ophthalmology, surgery. And also used for the prevention of bacterial infections and preventive measures within the framework of sanitary and epidemiological surveillance for nosocomial infections. The rules of use and the schemes for the use of Piobacteriophage are identical to those of the bacteriophage Intesty or Staphylococcal bacteriophage. It should be noted that Pyobacteriophage and Intesti-bacteriophage are solutions of broad-spectrum bacteriophages, since they contain several types of phages. But unlike Pyobacteriophages, Intesti-bacteriophage is more aimed at the treatment and prevention of bacterial infections of the digestive system (although it does not include Klebsiella oxytok phagolysate, in such cases, polyvalent purified or complex Piobacteriophage is preferred).
