Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage (or bacteriophage pseudomonas aeruginosa) is used to treat and prevent infections caused by strains of the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa (this is the Latin name for the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa). Common Latin name of the drug: Bacteriophage Pseudomonas aeroginosa fluid.
It is an immunobiological bacteriophage preparation for ingestion or externally (in the form of applications, irrigation, rinsing, rectal administration, introduction into the cavity of various organs, including drained organs). It is produced in the form of a solution of phagolysates of the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa plus quinosol (conserving agent).
The indication for the successful use of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage is the presence of the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa in bacterial research and determination of the phage sensitivity of bacterial strains to this bacteriophage.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage is used in cases of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection that occurs in various organs and organ systems:
- for diseases of the nose, throat, ear, respiratory tract, lungs (sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, laryngitis, pleurisy, pneumonia);
- with urological and gynecological diseases (cystitis, urethritis, colpitis, salpingo-oophoritis, endometritis, pyelonephritis);
- with bowel diseases and enteric infections (dysbiosis and intestinal dysbiosis , gastroenteritis, colitis, cholecystitis);
- with purulent - inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, conjunctiva (abscesses, boils, ulcers, pyoderma, omphalitis, conjunctivitis);
- for diseases requiring surgical treatment (furunculosis, abscess, phlegmon, carbuncles, panaritium, hydradenitis, osteomyelitis, mastitis, paraproctitis, bursitis);
- during surgical and post-surgical interventions;
- in case of infection of open wounds (in case of burns; abrasions; cut, punctured and lacerated wounds; open fracture);
- with generalized sepsis;
- with polietiologic infectious diseases as a complex therapy;
- with preventive measures to prevent and combat nosocomial infections.
Compatibility, side effects and contraindications to the use of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage preparation :
- can cause an allergic reaction to the components of the solution, with the development of which it is worth canceling the use of the drug,
- has no contraindications,
- can be used in combination with other pharmaceuticals, including antibiotics.
Precautions and rules when using a solution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage do not differ from the use of other preparations of bacteriophages, and the methods of application and doses correspond to the scheme and conditions of use of staphylococcal bacteriophage.
