Optimism and optimists.
Every person in life strives to be happier and more successful. But what to do if life is "stuffed" with negative phenomena that hinder the run to success? There are many ways to overcome difficulties, not get discouraged by current setbacks, and keep running. One of these ways is to become an optimist.
Optimism is a state of mind when belief in success and a favorable outcome of events surpasses all real-life troubles and allows a person to move through life without stopping to experience.
From a practical standpoint, an optimist is a stress-resistant personality type, always noticing only the good sides of life, and not focusing on life's troubles. Optimistic views have a beneficial effect on health, both physiological and mental. Optimists tolerate serious illnesses more easily, and even the hard times of life pass almost unnoticed for them.
Optimists find pleasure even in the smallest details of the environment, they are able to turn any ordinary day into a holiday, and they rarely need psychological help, since they are initially internally tuned in to the positive.
But optimistic outlooks on life also have limits. Thus, healthy optimism does not deny the presence of an unfavorable combination of circumstances. And unhealthy optimism is supported by the boundless lack of analysis of the surrounding reality.
No matter how useful optimism is as a factor in a quality life, nevertheless, optimism is still an illusory outlook on life. It helps to move forward, regardless of the negatively acting surrounding circumstances, maintains in a person the hope for a better life, for its prospects. But at the same time, he denies the presence of bad events in life. Optimists tend to overestimate the good and underestimate the bad.
Optimism is good in terms of driving force, but in terms of an adequate assessment of events, optimists are far behind pessimists. An optimistic person moves somewhat away from the realities of life, which can harm not only his own life, but also the life of his immediate environment, because he underestimates the threats of many events, considering them fleeting and not causing a natural sense of danger. For this reason, while cultivating an optimistic attitude towards life, do not forget to look at life more attentively and critically.
