Pessimism and pessimists.
Pessimism is a tendency to see negative aspects in everything. A person who has a pessimistic mood can have a depressed state, experience a feeling of hopelessness, and does not see the expediency of many aspects of life.
Pessimists paint life in black tones, see a catch, ambiguity, negativity in everything. Thinking about the meaning of life, pessimists are of the opinion that life is aimless, illusory and full of troubles.
Pessimism is not depression, but skepticism about life. But pessimists tend to get depressed, give in to difficulties, which often causes failures in business and contributes to a decrease in the number of successes. Pessimists explain all their adversity exclusively by unfortunate coincidence of circumstances, and not by their own mistakes or shortcomings.
Joyful moments for a pessimist are also cause for concern. Indeed, for a pessimist, joy is just a moment that breaks a series of bleak events.
Since pessimism forces a person to be on the verge of stress all the time, to have a bad mood, this is often reflected in the quality of the pessimist's health.
But pessimism also has positive aspects. Researchers of pessimism as a phenomenon argue that pessimists are wiser than most optimists.
