How to develop your imagination?
Imagination is the ability of the brain to reflect the mentally surrounding reality, introducing changes into it, adding new images. Every person has an imagination, but not everyone is trained to use it to their advantage. Everything that surrounds us, scientific and cultural values, are the fruits of human imagination, which have taken on visible forms. Training your imagination is very useful, especially in a world where it seems that everything seems to be already open and invented by others. This is not true.
Thanks to your own trained imagination, you can become a creative person capable of surprising others with your non-standard solutions and inventions. This is very useful for developing self-sufficiency, organizing your own business and for your own entertainment.
How to develop your imagination?
The average person thinks stereotypically, which means that ideas about the world around him are similar to those of other people. To move away from stereotypes, it is necessary to learn to fantasize: mentally (speculatively) change ordinary things until they are unrecognizable and endow them with other qualities.
Make it a rule to snatch events from the surrounding reality and play them in a different order.
Choose objects that surround you and endow them mentally with properties that are not typical for these objects. For example, you saw some kind of animal.
Try to mentally add non-existent details to his appearance and remember this vision. Try to play it periodically in memory. So you will learn to hold the invented images for a long time, and then you may be able to embody these visions in a drawing, sculpture or in any other form.
Consider the environment around you and mentally change it beyond recognition, giving pretentiousness to everyday things. Remember your fantasy and think about it in your mind from time to time.
Read the books of science fiction writers and try to conceptually imagine any detail they describe. Perhaps in the future you will learn how to invent stories and novels about non-existent worlds yourself.
But imagination is a delicate thing. Sometimes, over-engagement with a non-existent reality can be the beginning of a mental disorder, so do not overdo it with fantasies, do not live in them yourself.
