My own psychologist >>>> High efficiency
High efficiency.
Making money for a living, no matter in what way (for hire or by your own business), always requires high dedication, physically and intellectually. To prolong the possibility of effective work, it is necessary to be able to properly organize oneself, since high performance is not a natural gift, but the ability to concentrate and productively perform work tasks, and not “spread” the entire volume of work for several hours.
There are several factors that hinder the efficient use of working hours:
- Absent-mindedness,
- Distracting attention to extraneous things,
- Waste of the main time on minor things,
- Malnutrition,
- Lack of sleep.
Absent-mindedness is the main disadvantage that chronically disorganized people suffer from. Absent-mindedness distracts attention from direct participation in the work process and makes the brain "float" somewhere in dreams of a better life (about an interrupted computer game, about unverified phone messages, about unseen photographs of friends, about an unread book, about a missed shopping, about a new manicure , about a beautiful blouse of a friend, about a missed sports match, about the upcoming weekend vacation, about family problems and many more things that ordinary life is full of). Do not allow your brain to go beyond the task at least for half an hour, and you will realize that you have managed to do much more in an insignificant thirty minutes than in two hours of sluggish, absent-minded work.
Distraction by extraneous things in the environment is a problem of willpower. You cannot concentrate on work when interesting news is broadcast nearby, a smartphone with a new game lies within sight, or colleagues or household members are teasing you in the hope of chatting. During the working period, it is necessary to distance yourself from the environment, be it a gadget, information or the company of familiar people. Turn off your smartphone and other broadcasting gadgets for the duration of your work, warn your colleagues and loved ones so that they do not distract you for a certain time, remove seductive computer devices and TV with entertainment content to another room. The habit of doing things under the noise curtain of a talking TV or playing music does not provide an opportunity to increase the level of performance.
Shirking from difficult and important tasks at the beginning of working hours is the main mistake of a worker. The brain, regardless of whether a person is physically or mentally working, is always involved in activities and gets tired quickly. “On autopilot” you can do work of minor importance, but not important tasks that require the utmost concentration of efforts. While the brain is "fresh", try to do all the hard work, after that, let everything "take its course."
Poor nutrition on the eve of a work activity is another hit to productivity. You will begin to be overwhelmed by thoughts about food in the midst of the work process, and it should not be interrupted when it comes to high performance. In addition, having a snack, the body will direct blood flow to the digestive system and reduce your efforts to be productive - you will again get bogged down in a stretched time.
Lack of sleep cannot always be compensated for by energetic shaking - there is a limit to the work of the nervous system. For this reason, getting a good night's sleep means providing yourself with many hours of productive work. There is not enough time for a full long sleep - use the rules of polyphasic sleep.
It should be remembered that any high degree of performance is the achievement of personal orderliness, that is, the merit of the person himself.
